Pinstripe Software Releases Version 8.5 of Visual Impact at Sage Software Insights Conference

Sage Solution Providers and other attendees of last week's Sage Software Insights conference held in National Harbor, MD were the first to get a look at the newest release of Visual Impact, a configurable manufacturing system well-suited to the SMB market.
While Visual Impact (VI) has previously been implemented exclusively as a custom-configured product, VI 8.5 is now available in a more traditional release style. Still available as a configurable, modular solution, Visual Impact is now available as a packaged solution, and a tight integration with Sage Accpac ERP has been built. The application was acquired by Pinstripe last September with specific plans to take it to market through the Sage Channel.

Sage Premium Accounting for Manufacturing 2009

Sage Software today announced the general availability of its Peachtree 2009 product line, including new versions of Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting for Manufacturing and Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting for Distribution. These products, designed for small manufacturers and wholesale distributors, provide a range of management tools these businesses need to achieve their short and long-term business goals, and are the entry step to a family of Sage Software solutions that support manufacturers and distributors though their business growth cycles.
A key new management tool in Peachtree 2009 is the expanded Cash Manager Tool, with which small manufacturers and distributors can easily anticipate cash needs and run "What If" scenarios to project the impact of various activities on the business. The impact of shifting inventory levels, capital expenditures, or other investments can be evaluated without running actual transactions. Cash flow projections can be made based on historical transactions or other activity. Those scenarios can all be exported to Microsoft® Excel® for further analysis.
"Especially in the current economy, the ability to see an accurate picture of cash flow at any point in time is critical to the long term success and growth potential of manufacturers and distributors," said Connie Certusi, general manager, small business accounting solutions, Sage Software. "With the ability to make decisions on how to invest back in the business based on 'What If' scenarios in Peachtree, small manufacturers and distributors will be better positioned to face the future with confidence."
